A warrant for third-degree shoplifting has been issued for the arrest of Kyle B. Steines, 38, formerly of Wayne and currently of Hawthorne, Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Records show that Steines was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license/registration, certain persons not to possess a weapon (folding knife) for being convicted of a crime, and was issued a DUI on Oct. 29 in Wayne, just two days before the Oct. 31 incident on Prospect Street in Glen Rock.

As previously reported by Daily Voice, Steines stole $655 worth of liquor and then fled without paying just before 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 31, Ackermann said. A 31-year-old Bottle King worker tackled Steines in the parking lot, where Ackermann said  37-year-old Jeanelle Mulligan was waiting for Steines in a 2006 Toyota.

Mulligan purposely ran over the employee while Steines broke free.

Anyone who sees him is urged to contact Detective Sgt. James Calasaki at jcalasaki@glenrockpolice.com or Detective Lucas Doney at jdoney@glenrockpolice.com.
